Solo Show:
OBJECT LESSON
Written and Performed by Brea Glosson
Object Lesson is a poignant and witty reflection on childhood, high-control religion (cults), and reproductive rights. This solo show is written and performed by Brea Glosson, who was born and raised in a homeschooling evangelical Christian group in rural North Carolina, and delves deep into what it means to question everything you thought you knew as absolute truth using music, humor, and visual aids. Directed by Rachel Sabo-Hedges, featuring Karen Sabo, produced by Next Stop Creatives, and hosted by TLab Shares.
Bio
Brea was in her first play at age 8. Like so many other artists, theatre became her safe haven for emotional exploration and self-expression.
Brea wants to create work that allows people to connect to themselves, others, and her. She is open and enthusiastic about being part of work that reflects the shifting world.
She graduated from Atlantic Acting School's Evening Conservatory in 2022 and Appalachian State University (Boone, NC) in 2017 with a BA in Theatre Arts, concentration in Theatre Education. She has been fortunate in her educational experiences, and sees every play as an opportunity for learning and growth. Brea is passionate about all aspects of the theatre community, and is also taking courses to be an intimacy coordinator through Theatrical Intimacy Education (TIE).
Brea is currently located in Brooklyn, NY with her two cats, puppy, and partner.
